NCL 15th February 2014 Virgin Atlantic Airbus A340-600 G-VFIT & British Airways Boeing 747-400 G-CIVZ Divert in from New York JFK

Diverting in late last night from New York JFK Virgin Atlantic Airbus A340-600 G-VFIT made its way to Newcastle due to very strong winds at Heathrow, this was also the first ever visit to Newcastle Airport by a A340-600 the largest of the airbus A340 family....
...Also diverting in after the Virgin A340 had arrived, was this British Airways Boeing 747-400 G-CIVZ  which also arrived from New York JFK, the aircraft sporting the One World scheme the aircraft was used later in the day to fly the 1800 London Heathrow BA1335 shuttle in place of the normal Airbus.
...While not a divert this AIS Airlines J32 PH-CCI has been based at Newcastle Airport for over a week while flying for Eastern Airways.
